This week's AfE Meal of the Week comes out of Round Rock, Texas, just north of the state capital of Austin. The original, almost orangish donuts are as good as it gets. Feeling the heat of my bag, I wondered if they had screwed up my order, but after tasting what seemed to be directly pulled from the fryer by the hand of God there was nothing to wonder about. Of course el Jefe went with the gimongous Texas donut, which would be enough to hold him over until we could get north and into West, Texas for the Czech Stop and their kolaches.

That donut was on Man vs. Food a few months back. I need to stop by that place.
